Changes to ARCP process effective June 2024:

image
  • The Deanery have standardised the ARCP process across the Specialty Schools, and all ARCPs from June 2024 onwards will follow this process:
    1. ARCP Assessment Panel:
      • The panel will review the available evidence on your portfolio and issue the ARCP outcome.
      • You do not attend the ARCP Assessment Panel as this is an evidence review only.
      • If the panel issue a developmental outcome (2, 3, 4 or 5) you will be required to attend the ARCP Feedback Panel.
    2. ARCP Feedback Panel:
      • The panel will review the outcome issued at the ARCP Assessment Panel and confirm the learning objectives and timeline for these to be achieved.
      • Information regarding the ARCP Assessment and Feedback Panel will be sent to you via the Specialty School administrator.

ICM Training Programme Requirement:

  • Following the ARCP Assessment Panel, you will be invited to meet with ICM executive team to discuss the outcome and recommendations.
  • This is not part of the Deanery ARCP process, therefore, any communication regarding this meeting will be sent via your TPD or a representative from the ICM training programme.
  • Please be aware that should you be issued with a developmental outcome, even if you have met with your ICM executive team following the ARCP Assessment Panel you will still be required to attend the ARCP Feedback Panel.

In a nutshell:

  • ARCP Assessment Panel will look into your portfolio and decide an outcome which determines further steps:
    1. Outcome 1 ⇒ you will be invited to a single meeting with the ICM executive team.
    2. Developmental outcome (2, 3, 4 or 5) ⇒ you will have to attend 2 meetings:
      1. 1st ⇒ With the ARCP Feedback Panel
      2. 2nd ⇒ With the ICM executive team
