The Self-IsolAting Virtual Education project was set up by trainees who were self-isolating during the Covid-19 pandemic.
These virtual tutorials were created by either a trainee or a consultant in the North West deanery to help study for the IAC, primary, final anaesthesia & FICM exams.
- Tutorial videos: Click on each topic link, and it will direct you to the video of the tutorial.
- Original slides: To gain access to the original slides, just click on the link next to each presentation.
- Feedback form: Click on the feedback form link next to each tutorial. Please complete this once you have finished the tutorial and you will be sent a confirmation message of completion for your portfolio.
- CPD points: Completion of each presentation will be awarded with 0.5 local CPD points, approved by the NW deanery.

STEP/ STOP Workbooks
Each trainee will have Educational Development time (EDT)-usually Tuesday or Wednesday pm (department dependant). We expect you to cover the main areas in the curriculum during this time if you have not yet completed the FRCA. You should use the STEP/STOP workbook as a guide to complete the SAVE’d tutorial and resources on e-lfh. The workbooks lists the topic areas expected to cover and can be uploaded to your portfolio for ARCP as evidence of engagement in learning during EDT.
